Tuesday, on the 35th anniversary of the start of the Lebanese civil war, the country’s long-bickering leaders put aside their differences and participated in a friendly football game in which the two teams, red and white, were made up of representatives of both the March 14 and March 8 alliances. The motto of the game was “We are all one team.” The match ended with a score of 2-0 for the red team, which was led by Prime Minister Saad Hariri against the white team, led by Hezbollah MP Ali Ammar. Kataeb MP Sami Gemayel scored both goals. Various dignitaries, including President Michel Sleiman, attended the match at Camille Chamoun Sports City.
