THE STADIUM SPECS
Former Lebanese president Camille Chamoun built the stadium in 1957. The opening game was a friendly played against FC Petrolul Ploieşti, where Lebanon beat them 1-0 through a Joseph Abou Murad goal. and most recently renovated in 1997 by Prime minister Rafic Hariri. This stadium was the final venue of 2000 AFC Asian Cup.
For the last few Years, the great effort and wise management of its president and managing director Mr. Riad el Sheikha and his team, gave a great push to the CCSC, and took it to a international level in quality and performance. it welcomed many local, international and arab sport events in addition to the european and international team that visited and played on its premisses.
